The Commodities Energy Prices API provides you with the needed energy pricing data to analyze the past and present state of the energy commodity market empowering you to make forecasts about the future. Moreover, the present and forecasted prices of energy commodities are interrelated, especially when commodity futures are taken into account.
For example, consider the following situation and its respective circumstantial information. If a buyer is interested to purchase barrels of gas or oil in the mid-2022, at the beginning of the same year, he signs a future contract that determines the date of the commodity exchange and the respective sum to be paid. In the midst of 2022, he buys the energy commodities at lower prices negotiated earlier despite the soaring energy commodity prices resulting from the war in Ukraine. In fact, according to the World Bank Commodity Markets Outlook report, by the end of 2022 and 2023, energy prices are expected to rise by 50% due to the war in Ukraine.
